In thinking of places that travelers might want to see, images of sandy beaches, snowy mountain tops, or neon lit city streets come to mind. Strictly guarded by the Brazilian authorities, this place is a forbidden territory, but this time not because of the need to save it from the harm caused by visitors, but because the only purpose of going there is to die.
